Mountains of Opportunity | 2019 Conference Nov 3-7, 2019 | White Sulphur Springs, WV

National Association of Extension 4-H Agents

We invite you to the 2019 NAE4-HA Conference that will be held at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV on Nov. 3- 7, 2019. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in professional development while being surrounding by the luxury of a world class venue. We hope you will join us for the Mountains of Opportunity at America’s Resort.

“I remember the wowed expressions on the faces of our members as they walked in the hotel for the first time. Hotel staff warmly welcomed us, every space was exquisite, afternoon tea with cookies was delicious, and the champagne at check-in was very nice. The conference location was one of the best in my 30+ years of going to Annual Session. NEA4-HA members will not want to miss this spectacular conference experience!” Daryl M., New Jersey, 2015 NEAFCS National Board Member and Conference Attendee

Here are some tips for planning for your trip to The Greenbrier.

  • Register during Early Bird Registration to get the best discount. Dates will be released later this spring.
  • Book a room or cottage with a colleague and split the cost. Free shuttle service is provided from estate homes and cottages to the main hotel.
  • Look at your budget and decide if your registration and lodging fees would fit better into this fiscal year or next year.
  • Take advantage of amenities and activities included in your lodging, like morning coffee service and afternoon tea in the Upper Lobby of The Greenbrier.
  • Book one of the more than 55 available activities at America’s Resort on Sunday or Friday of the conference to receive a 10% discount.
  • Enjoy lunch or dinner at Drapers or pick up a coal-fired pizza to go from 6-9 p.m. at The Pizza Shoppe for $20 or less. Both restaurants are conveniently located inside the Greenbrier.
  • Grab a snack to hold you over between meals at The Greenbrier Gourmet, which offers pastries, coffees, sandwiches, and snacks to go.
  • Explore all your travel options (by train, plane and automobile) to decide which one is right for your budget and schedule. There will be shuttle service from the Greenbrier Valley Airport, Charleston, and Roanoke. Pricing for these services may vary per location.

“The Greenbrier Resort is a majestic, historical hotel and conference center set in the beautiful West Virginia mountains… It’s a place that I would return, without hesitation, for another conference.” Susan R., Oklahoma, 2015 NEAFCS National Board Member and Conference Attendee

This conference will offer many professional development and networking opportunities. The Greenbrier’s lavish décor will lead you from room to room. While you’re enjoying workshops, poster sessions, speakers, and daily tea time, you will be surrounded by the elegance of Dorothy Draper’s signature interior design. On site amenities and activities provide guests with an experience unlike any other in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia.

“Of all of the conference spots used by our association, The Greenbrier was easily the most memorable. We felt like we stepped back into a kinder, gentler era with a focus on each of us, as ‘guests’.” Nancy S., Ohio, 2015 2015 NEAFCS National Board Member and Conference Attendee
